INVESTING IN AFRICA
After two years of absence, we were finally back with a new team and new ambitions.
The focus of this year's Summit was “Investing in Africa”.
We wanted to hear the opinions of big investors but also young entrepreneurs on this hot topic to provide a deeper insight.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the insightful speakers and enthusiastic participants who contributed to the success of Africa Week 2023. The event stood as a testament to the dynamic diversity and richness of Africa and the Afro-Diaspora, significantly emphasizing the need for optimism and critical introspection within our institutions and society for sustainable development.

The invaluable insights from our distinguished speakers—Nafisa Sayid, Scotty Williams, Mundia Moola, Büsser, Tania Fisler, Rose Kimotho, Jasper Graf von Hardenberg, Sekou Coulibaly, Del Titus Bawuah, Amanda Turner, Ege, Jake Obeng-Bediako, Yemi Aguda, Amanda Kahugu, and Matthias Meier—highlighted the transformative power of embracing diverse perspectives, overcoming challenges, and celebrating vibrant cultures. Their dedication not only illuminated the path toward impactful change but also reinforced our mission of bringing Africa to the forefront of global discourse.

We also recognize the exceptional dedication of our moderators—Elan Nguyen, Elias Mbarek, Emmanuel Schenk, Louis Mallet, and Kabe Diongue. Their expertise and commitment significantly enhanced the quality of the discussions, fostering a conducive environment for insightful dialogue and engagement.

The event sparked meaningful conversations at the SQUARE (HSG) and beyond, drawing a keen audience eager to explore and engage with African-centric topics. Special acknowledgment goes to Prof. Bernhard Ehrenzeller, President of the University of St.Gallen, along with Tallulah Patricia Bär and Nathalie Peterer (-Roth), for their unwavering support over the years, which has been instrumental in the continuous success of this initiative.

As we document this journey, our excitement for the future remains undiminished. We eagerly anticipate the continuation of these vital conversations, the exploration of new adventures, and the realization of Africa's immense potential in the coming years.

We are profoundly grateful for the collective effort and participation that made Africa Week 2023 a landmark event, and we look forward to welcoming everyone again next year to build upon the foundations laid this year.
